Bulls known for their good weaning calves were acquired at the Fairbridge Brangus stud’s production auction in Maclear.
Seven bulls were sold for R100 000 or more each. The most expensive bull (FR 20-60) was sold for R160 000. Bulls averaged R75 000, stud cows with calves averaged R24 000, stud cows averaged R22 800 and commercial cows averaged R18 000.
Vleissentraal conducted the auction on behalf of the Delwyn Roberts family at their Fairbridge farm. The auctioneer was André van Zyl.
