Whether navigating urban landscapes or embarking on suburban adventures, the Territory stands ready to conquer the road ahead.
R85 million investment in education
As Ford commemorates its 100-year legacy, the company aspires to provide the people of South Africa with a bridge to the future and a promise of a better world. This commitment extends to three major community initiatives, amounting to an investment of R85 million, all centred on empowering the youth through education.
Ford South Africa will be funding the creation of 100 early childhood development (ECD) centres. Collaborating with the Nelson Mandela Foundation, these centres will replace existing nursery schools in disadvantaged areas, providing safe and compliant learning environments for children.
Additionally, the Ford Motor Company Fund is set to award 100 scholarships to highly motivated young South Africans from under-resourced communities pursuing careers related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Focused on fields such as mechatronics, autotronics, millwright and electrical trades, these scholarships will open pathways to Ford South Africa’s apprenticeship programme and broader industry opportunities.
Now, that sounds like the celebration of the century!
