With its focus on meeting the needs of the market, STIHL has developed its range of agricultural equipment for smallholders and commercial farms.
This equipment makes mechanisation accessible and affordable. It also simplifies daily tasks on the farm and in the yard.
STIHL’s agricultural equipment is economical to operate, with the added benefit of parts being compatible with all the tools. This makes it convenient for the farmer to maintain the tools and significantly reduces downtime.

The agricultural range includes:
- The STIHL BT 230 auger can make holes up to 300 mm in diameter for planting and erecting fences or support poles (standard drill bits can also be used for even greater convenience).
- With the STIHL WP 230 portable water pump, water can be brought to the fields and to livestock. It has an impressive suction height of 8 meters, a pumping height of 27 meters, and can pump up to 250 litres a minute. The integrated filter keeps small objects and dirt out.

- The portable, petrol-powered STIHL SG 230 sprayer is used to spray crops with weedkillers and pest killers. This powerful machine has a large range, so even tall plants and those in hard-to-reach places can be easily sprayed. The 30-metre spray pipe allows users to work in an area of 2 800 m² without moving the machine.
- The STIHL BC 230 cultivator for loosening and cultivating prepared soil and removing weeds in rows. It is ideal for use between intensively planted crops.
- The STIHL FS 230 petrol brush cutter, which is new to the South African market, is a lightweight, sturdy machine with a strong, stable cutting action that makes it easy to cut for long periods. It is perfect for use on the farm to keep plant growth and bushes neat and to cut grass for fodder. It can also be used for heavy-duty work in the garden.
