The stud bull JRB 180058 was sold for the highest price of R300 000 to Bonsmit of Polokwane.
The most expensive heifer at the auction was sold for R25 000 to Makarios Farming of Louis Trichardt and Bestrina Trust of Witbank.
Bestrina Trust also bought the most expensive cow with a calf for R30 000. Stud bulls were sold for an average price of R71 416, heifers for R24 400, and cows with calves for R26 000.
The prices for commercial animals were as follows:
- Pregnant cows with calves R26 000
- Cows with calves R22 750
- Pregnant heifers R26 396
- Open heifers R13 428
A total of 104 animals were sold and the auction’s turnover was R3 985 000. Vleissentraal Bosveld hosted the sale and the auctioneer was Mike Killassy.
