The sellers are veteran breeder Piet Delport and his son, Hendrik, from the Hide-A-Ways stud. They recently held their fifth production auction at the farm Nooitgedacht, Migdol, North West. The buyer is Mike Prinsloo, a businessman who farms at Biesiesvlei between Lichtenburg and Sannieshof.
The average price for the 25 bulls was R62 105. Pregnant cows were sold for an average of R25 666, cows with a calf for R32 000, pregnant heifers for R25 000, and non-pregnant heifers for R20 000.
The auction was hosted by Karoo-Ochse Vryburg and Steven Matthews was the auctioneer.
