Hendrik Meyer of Rhenostervallei Beefmasters in Bela-Bela purchased the most expensive bull for R170 000. The auction was held on 6 August at the farm Leeuwkop near Devon in Gauteng.
A total of 50 bulls and 50 heifers were auctioned, and all were sold. The average price of the bulls was R64 680, and that of the heifers was R18 415. The highest price paid for a group of heifers was R20 000 each.
BKB of Ermelo conducted the auction in collaboration with Meerkat online auctions, and Johan van der Nest was the auctioneer.
