Bulls of good quality were offered at Smith Bekker’s Glendor Bonsmara production auction, held on 19 September on the farm Dorcum, Vanstadensrus.
The bull AJS 210008 achieved the highest price, selling for R55 000 to Gerard Jordaan of Panorama Ranch, Boesmanskop. The average price of bulls was R43 210,53.
The average price of pregnant cows was R19 386,36, that of cows with calves R15 500, and heifers were sold for an average price of R9 560.
The auction was presented by Vleissentraal Port Elizabeth in cooperation with Meerkat Online Auctions. The auctioneer was André van Zyl.
