Growing up in Bonabona near Morokweng in the Vryburg area of North West, Fannie Applegreen dreamed of owning at least 100 cattle by age 30. Now, at 35, he has surpassed this goal and plans to retire from mine work at 40 to focus full-time on his farming operation, which comprises predominantly Brahmans and Simmentaler cattle.
