Mulalo Munyamela, the 2023 National Female Farmer of the Year, has turned her inherited passion for food into a vibrant career. After starting as an information scientist, she transitioned to founding a food business and eventually becoming a Bonsmara cattle breeder. Currently, she has around 200 purebred Bonsmara cattle that she bred herself, of which 43 of these cows have been selected to form the foundation of her stud herd.
The 2024 African Farming collectors’ edition features inspiring stories of farmers nationwide who exemplify hard work, resilience, and excellence. These farmers have overcome various challenges to succeed in their field.
