Our Earth Harvest Gala was a huge success!
On 22 November African Farming hosted its inaugural Earth Harvest Gala, an initiative aimed at celebrating agriculture as an integral part of our heritage. The event also explored the impact of indigenous knowledge systems on agriculture and rural development. The gala took place at the Bakone Malapa Museum in Polokwane, Limpopo.
Under the theme “Agri-is-our-Culture,” the Earth Harvest Gala welcomed over 200 subsistence and smallholder farmers from Limpopo and neighbouring provinces. The event not only honoured our agricultural heritage but also sought to uncover economic opportunities in agriculture, with a particular focus on the role of indigenous knowledge in promoting sustainable practices and advancing rural development.
