On Friday 22 November we hosted our inaugural African Farming Earth Harvest Gala – an initiative to celebrate agriculture as an integral part of the country’s heritage. The gala event was hosted under the theme “Agri-is-our Culture”.
One of the highlights was exploring the impact of indigenous knowledge systems on agriculture and rural development.
The Talking Point on SAfm interviewed Khutso Ntjana and Dr Lerato Matsaunyane.
Khutso Ntjana is a goat and cattle farmer, and she also processes goat milk into beauty and health products.
Dr Lerato Matsaunyane is the Research Team Manager for Farmer Support, Commercialisation and Enterprise Development at the Agricultural Research Council.
