At last week’s Grain SA’s annual congress in Bothaville in the Free State, Chris Burgess, editor-in-chief of African Farming and Landbouweekblad, spoke to Thandeka Ntshangase, deputy chairperson of the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC), about the markets, crop estimates and import demands for South Africa’s grains from our neighbouring countries. She also explains why the outcomes and insights of the Grain SA congress is so important for our grain farmers as well as the whole Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.
