The red meat industry takes traceability quite seriously, but it would seem not all animals are too keen on this identification business.
AAM Cattle Agents and Auctioneers field officer known as Vern shared a video of his son, Eli, helping with the herd.
In the video, Eli is seen approaching one of the cows that was resting and poking it with an identification tag.
This must have irritated the cow a little as it first flicked its tail as a warning to the young man.
However, the young Eli persisted with his job, and the cow had to do it again.
Unfortunately, this time around, the tail landed right on his head and face.
The unimpressed young man is seen walking away, probably swearing never to approach a cow again.
