🌧️Light rain with FRESH to STRONG WINDS expected over the south-western Cape behind a cold front. ⛈️SCATTERED STORMS expected in parts of the Karoo, around Lesotho and parts of the Eastern Cape, with only isolated storms over north-eastern SA.
⚠️IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS issued by SAWS ⚠️ 🟡Yellow Level 2: Severe thunderstorms with heavy downpour, strong damaging winds, and excessive lightning leading to localised damage to infrastructure, settlements (informal), property, vehicles, livelihood and livestock, localised and short term disruption to municipal and other essential services (e.g power supply), localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges, localised loss of agricultural production are expected over southern parts of the Free State, eastern parts of Eastern Cape and southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal. 🟡
Yellow Level 1: Damaging Winds leading to difficulty in navigating at sea, small vessels and personal watercraft (e.g. kayaks) being at risk of taking on water and capsizing in a locality and localised disruption of small harbours and ports can be expected between Table Bay and Still Bay.
