The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Limpopo has been allocated R5.927 billion over the next three financial years, of which R1bn is made available for the 2025/26 financial year.
The 2025/26 allocation includes R32.792 million for the Revitalisation of Agriculture and Agro-Processing Value Chain (RAAVC) Projects and R10m for the Lebowakgomo rroiler houses.
The Department has also been allocated conditional grants amounting to R346 million for 2025/26, which will grow to R370.734 million in 2027/28.
Limpopo Finance MEC Kgabo Mahoai delivered his 2025/26 Provincial Budget Speech at the Legislature in Lebowakgomo on Tuesday 25 March.
Over R88.936 billion has been allocated in 2025/26 and he said this will increase to R94.771 billion in 2027/28.
The provincial infrastructure budget for 2025/26, which has been allocated to various departments, is R7.557 billion.
