Even though existing and aspiring official fatstock judges receive essential training from the South African Fatstock Judging Association’s (SAFJA) courses, stud breeders and commercial producers of red meat animals also benefit from participating in these courses.
SAFJA recently hosted one of its courses in KwaZulu-Natal’s Ladysmith district. African Farming had a chat with Andrew Adams, SAFJA’s administrator, afterwards to find out what such a course entails, and what some of the main benefits are for participants.
