Here’s a summary of the weather forecast for 10 -11 May.
🌬️ A strong cold front will move across the country this weekend, bringing COLD, WET, and VERY WINDY conditions to the south-west. Most of the rain will be limited to the south-western parts of the Western Cape, while STRONG winds are expected along the south-western and southern coastline and the western interior, spreading to the eastern coastline on Sunday.

🟡Yellow Level 4: Damaging Winds leading to difficulty in navigation at sea and possible damage to informal settlements are expected between Saldanna Bay and Plettenberg Bay.
🟡Yellow Level 4: Damaging Waves leading to difficulty in navigation at sea for small vessels and personal watercraft is expected between Table Bay and Plettenberg Bay.
🟡Yellow Level 2: Damaging Winds leading to difficulty in navigation at sea and possible damage to informal settlements are expected along the coast between Plettenberg Bay and East London.
🟡Yellow Level 2: Damaging waves resulting in difficulty in navigation and small vessels taking on water and capsizing within a locality are expected along the coast between Plettenberg Bay and Port Elizabeth from the evening, spreading to Port Edward.
🟡Yellow Level 2: Damaging Winds leading to localised problems for high-sided vehicles on prone routes is expected over the southern part of the Northern Cape, the central and the eastern part of the Western Cape, as well as the central and the northern part of the Eastern Cape.
🔥FIRE DANGER WARNINGS: 🔥 Extreme high fire danger conditions are expected over Beaufort West and Hessequa LMs in the Western Cape, as well as north-western part of the Eastern Cape.
🥶🌬️ADVISORIES: 🌬️🥶 – Very cold, wet and windy conditions are expected over the Karoo Hoogland Northern Cape and the Witzenberg Western Cape municipalities on Saturday (10/08/2025). – Strong to gale force north-westerly winds are expected in places over Chris Hani and Joe Gqabi DMs on Saturday, while westerly/south-westerly winds accompanied with very rough seas are expected in places along the coast between Plettenberg Bay and Peddie until Sunday (10-11/05/2025).
