The 2025 Nampo festivities began with sharp insights and hearty bites as African Farming’s sister publication, Landbouweekblad, in partnership with Allan Gray, hosted the Food & Finance Investors’ Breakfast for Farmers yesterday morning at the Plaaskombuis at Nampo Park in Bothaville.
The early-morning session brought together farmers, investors and thought leaders for a power-packed hour of financial wisdom and practical investment guidance.
Moderated by Theo Vorster of Galileo Capital, the expert panel featured Chris Burgess (editor-in-chief of African Farming and Landbouweekblad) and Pieter Koornhof (Allan Gray), who unpacked critical topics, including how to use capital wisely, understanding long-term asset performance and avoiding common investment pitfalls.
Guests were treated to a gourmet Free State breakfast box curated by Landbou Boerekos editor Arina du Plessis, making the sessions both enriching and delicious.
The event set an energising tone for Nampo, offering farmers not only food for thought but also valuable networking opportunities to connect with industry leaders in a relaxed yet focused setting.
A warm thank you to Allan Gray for making this powerful breakfast conversation possible.
