At Nampo 2025, agriculture didn’t just showcase its power – it brought together people, knowledge and innovation from across the continent.
Organised and fully funded by Syngenta, a dynamic multi-country delegation of farmers, distributors and Syngenta teams from Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Kenya came together to experience Africa’s largest agricultural expo.
“This was about more than farming. It was about people, progress and partnership,” said Andreas Boon, Syngenta’s Head of Crop Protection Development Lead for Southern and Eastern Africa.
Innovation meets human connection
From early morning bus rides to lively discussions over drinks at the Syngenta Boerekos Plaaskombuis, this trip was built around relationships, collaboration and shared learning. Syngenta took the opportunity to showcase its commitment to agricultural innovation through a special presentation on its global research and development pipeline, regional product launches and solutions tailored for African farmers.
“Farmers associate Syngenta with trust and technology and this visit reaffirmed that,” Boon said.

Voices from the continent
The delegates returned home not just with brochures and photos but with fresh perspectives and inspiration:
Beat, Zimbabwe (Apple Chemical Holdings): “The Cropwise app is a game changer. Once it rolls out in Zimbabwe, adoption will be massive. Syngenta’s science gives us confidence.”
Sean Price, Zimbabwe: “It was my first time at Nampo and it was phenomenal! The Syngenta stand was a highlight. The entire Nampo was incredible – I’ve never seen machinery like that before.”
Angelina Bindas, Zimbabwe: “Thank you, Syngenta, for this opportunity. Nampo sparked new thinking, especially about the role of women in agriculture.”
Baylen, Zambia: “Syngenta is clearly leading in digital farming. This trip confirmed it.”

African Farming sharing the story
While Syngenta led and funded the initiative, African Farming’s role was to tell the story and we’re proud to share it with the world. “We exist to spotlight stories like this – real experiences, real farmers and real impact,” said Maphuti Mongatane, Business Development Manager at African Farming. “That’s what makes African Farming more than a brand – we’re a voice for Africa’s agricultural future.”
And as a global media platform rooted in Africa, African Farming is committed to celebrating and sharing the work being done to uplift agriculture on the continent.
NAMPO 2025 wasn’t just about tractors, tech or trade; it was a moment of unity across borders, languages and legacies. Syngenta is doing the work and African Farming is telling the story. Together, we are growing a continent full of potential.
