Brazil shares similar climatic and livestock production conditions with different parts of Sub-Saharan Africa.
While African Farming was at Brazil’s ExpoZebu 2025 cattle exhibition in Brazil’s Uberaba district, we met up with breeder Matheus França of the Agropecuária J França agribusiness. He told us about the highly adaptable and dual-purpose Sindi/Red Sindi breed that his country has significantly improved over past decades.
Matheus says Angola’s cattle farmers are already importing Sindi genetics from Brazil and crossbreeding these with African breeds.
In the video interview Matheus gives more detail on why he believes the Sindi can be of great benefit to Africa’s cattle farmers.
