❄️ Thankfully, the cut-off low responsible for the extremely cold conditions, snow, heavy rain, and strong winds is finally moving away from South Africa. As it slowly moves off, strong winds along the east coast will begin to subside. Only light rain is expected in parts of the Eastern Cape, with widespread light frost elsewhere.

🟠Orange Level 6: Damaging Waves resulting in damage to coastal infrastructure, risk to medium vessels dragging anchors are expected between East London and Port Edward of the Eastern Cape.
🟡Yellow Level 4: Damaging Winds and Waves resulting in localised disruption of small harbours and/or a port for a short period of time, small vessels at risk of taking on water and capsizing, difficulty in navigation (eg. Small vessels in short period, steep waves & hampered progress due to strong winds), and localised disruptions to beach front activities (e.g.closure of beaches for swimming, shore/rock angling) are expected along the coast of KwaZulu-Natal.
