The North West Department of Agriculture and Rural Development says the roadshow continues, with sessions planned for the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District on 11 July at Ga-Matsapola Farm, and Bojanala Platinum District on 14 July at Moses Kotane Local Municipality.
What makes these engagements particularly significant, the department says, is the ecosystem of support being established. North West University Business School, various financial institutions, AgriSETA and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) have joined forces with the department to provide young farmers with access to mentorship programmes, skills development opportunities and funding.
The sessions feature not just theoretical discussions but also practical demonstrations of climate-smart agricultural methods. Young participants engage in dialogue, presentations and hands-on planting activities, gaining valuable insight into sustainable farming practices.
The department has extended an open invitation to all young people involved in farming, agri-processing and related enterprises to participate fully in these engagements and take advantage of the resources being offered by the government and its partners.
