On 25 June 2025, the Rusty White Week media launch at BMW Rustenburg in North West, lived up to its promise, unveiling a bold vision for what is set to become Rustenburg’s most dynamic cultural and economic celebration yet.
Under the inspiring theme “From Roots to Riches”, the evening brought together business leaders, community champions, entrepreneurs, farmers and creatives to showcase how Rusty White Week will energise Rustenburg’s economy, celebrate its people and spark innovation.
Guests engaged in lively discussions about building resilience, fostering entrepreneurship and driving local pride.
Rustenburg Agricultural Expo 2025: Spotlight on North West Farmers
A key highlight of the announcement was the confirmation of the Agricultural Expo, scheduled for 14-16 October 2025, which will shine a well-deserved spotlight on both emerging and established agri-entrepreneurs in the province.

“From Roots to Riches” – How Rustenburg’s Economy Will Transform Through Agriculture
Sinah Kololo, the passionate visionary behind Rusty White Party, inspired attendees with a heartfelt address. He reminded everyone that these events are about building true, lasting value for the community, not extracting profits and leaving nothing behind.
“It’s about creating a legacy,” Kololo said. “We want to see the local economy grow, businesses succeed, and people uplifted long after the festival is over.”
He emphasised the vital role of agriculture as second only to mining and tourism in the North West in transforming Rustenburg’s economy and highlighted how events like the Agricultural Expo can help build skills, networks, and confidence among smallholder farmers and young agri-entrepreneurs.

How Rustenburg Residents Can Join the Economic Movement
Kololo encouraged active participation from the community:
“Our people are not buying Ferraris with their income; they are feeding their children, educating them, building homes. Strong events help build strong communities.”
He challenged Rustenburg’s residents and business leaders to see themselves as co-owners of Rusty White Week’s success: “These events thrive if you show up. Buy the tickets, attend, learn, network, and grow. That’s how we go from roots to riches together.” Kololo also hinted at future possibilities, including expanding Rusty White Week to showcase agricultural exports and broader economic partnerships in the coming years.

Rustenburg’s Transformation: Economic Growth Through Local Events and Agriculture
As Rusty White Week begins to roll out with the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk and gears up for the Agricultural Expo from 14-16 October, one message is clear: Rustenburg is ready to celebrate its entrepreneurial spirit, build new opportunities, and create a sustainable path for inclusive economic growth.
“We’ve done the planning, we’ve invested, and now it’s up to every one of us to be part of this movement,” Kololo concluded. “Support it, attend it, and together let’s build something that leaves no one behind.”
Rusty White Week is no longer just an event but a catalyst for Rustenburg’s transformation, uniting tradition and innovation with a spirit of hope, partnership and community pride.
