Like a shiny floating trophy for first-place achievement, the big golden Fendt 1167 Vario MT tractor is touring America’s major agricultural events to recognise and celebrate the country’s farmers and wider farming sector.
According to parent company AGCO, this machine was manufactured in Jackson, Minnesota. It also symbolises Fendt’s commitment to American farmers through the brand’s Gold Star Customer Care programme and its three-year Gold Star Warranty.
“This striking machine features a full gold exterior, a patriotic window wrap and a farmer-first message: ‘Proudly supporting our American farmers’,” says the company.

The one-of-a-kind golden Fendt made a major public appearance at the weeklong Great American Farmers Market earlier in August. Held at the iconic US Capitol in Washington, DC., this event celebrates food, family and farming.
The public was invited to attend for free to learn about all aspects of the American agricultural sector. One of the themes that came through strongly was the “Make America Healthy Again” campaign to promote the country’s production and consumption of healthy foods.
Research indicates fast food makes up about 15.8% of the diet of Americans aged 2 and older. More than 58% of Americans buy fast food at least once a week, and those who make it part of their diet buy it nearly three times a week.
Brooke Rollins, US Secretary of Agriculture, signed the golden Fendt at the agricultural Commodity Classic 2025 held in March in Denver, Colorado. Other dignitaries added their signatures alongside hers when the machine was at the Great American Farmers Market.
Mike Long, Fendt North America’s Vice President, said: “Fendt is proud to stand with American farmers. This golden tractor is a tribute to their resilience and innovation, and the vital role they play in helping feed the world.”
The golden Fendt is currently back home at the Fendt Lodge in Jackson. Its next visit will be later in August when it heads to the 2025 Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois.
