Bongani Duma of Afrivet emphasised using vaccination as a preventative measure in keeping livestock healthy. He said farmers often misuse vaccines because they confuse the difference between vaccines and treatment – where they use vaccines when the animal had already contracted the disease and blame vaccine companies for selling them ineffective medication.
