New Holland’s new harvester is the largest machine the company has yet brought to South Africa.

The CR10, or “Yellow Monster”, as Derrick Coetzee, product marketing specialist of New Holland, calls it, is manufactured by the company’s Harvester Centre of Excellence in Zedelgem, Belgium.
“The CR10 is one of New Holland’s new generation harvesters that offers producers increased grain capacity,” says Coetzee. “New Holland went to its clients to find out what they want and what they’re looking for. Most indicated zero percent losses.”
The CR10 also has new cleaning and separation systems that promise to set new standards for throughput, grain quality, loss reduction and operator comfort.
“This means a reduction in harvesting costs for clients, increased productivity and grain quality. Another feature of the CR10 is the minimum downtime it requires. The wheels must keep turning so the grain can come in,” says Coetzee.

Power, Capacity, Productivity
The CR10 is powered by a 12.9-litre FPT Cursor 13 engine that delivers 635 hp. The tank holds 16 000 litres of grain, and the harvester additionally has a fast-unloading speed of 159 litres/sec.
New Holland’s distinctive Twin Rotor™ technology, which was introduced in 1975, has been enlarged with two 600 mm rotors of larger diameter and length. This new design improves crop circulation specifically.
The TwinClean™ system offers a two-phase sieve configuration, each with independent upper and lower sieves and dedicated grain augers. A large grain pan with an increased drop surface and a powerful fan ensures optimal airflow.
A sideways shaking action distributes material evenly across the full width. The total sieve surface is 8.8 m², which significantly increases throughput and reduces losses.
