🌧️An upper-air system (a cut-off low weakening into an upper-air trough) is nearing the country and is expected to bring widespread rain and storms to the southern interior, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday. 🌦️
⚡On Saturday, ahead of this strong system, it will be partly cloudy with isolated to scattered storms in the east, and isolated showers already moving in along the west coast. ⚠️IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS issued by SAWS⚠️
🟡 Yellow Level 2: Severe Thunderstorms accompanied by heavy downpours, excessive lightning and large amounts of small hail and damaging winds are expected over the western parts of KwaZulu Natal, the western parts of Limpopo, in places over the Highveld and escarpment of Mpumalanga and northern Gauteng.
🔥FIRE DANGER WARNINGS: 🔥 Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over Matzikama and Drakenstein municipalities of the Western Cape, and in places over the Northern Cape.
