🌩️ A deep surface trough, together with a CUT-OFF LOW shifting south of the Cape, will maintain a high chance of SCATTERED showers and thunderstorms across most of the Western Cape and Eastern Cape, as well as parts of the Northern Cape.

🥵 Hot to VERY HOT conditions will persist across the country.

⚠️IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS issued by SAWS ⚠️

🟡 Yellow level 2: Severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours leading to localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges as well as damaging winds, excessive lightning and hail resulting in damage to infrastructure and settlements is expected across most of the Eastern Cape, extreme south-eastern parts of the Northern Cape, extreme southern parts of the Free State, southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal and around the Garden Route Municipality of the Western Cape.

🔥FIRE DANGER WARNINGS: 🔥 Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central and eastern parts of Northern Cape.
