The 2 Brothers Dormers and Two Sons Suffolks auction, hosted by the Steyn and Tjaart Steenkamp family, was held on 30 January 2026 on the farm Lower Orpendale in the Barkly-Oos district.

Good breeding ewes and rams were offered, and buyers travelled from far and wide for this exceptional breeding material.
Lot 91 was the most expensive Dormer ram at the auction. Charone and Sam Pedro of Goedverwagting Suffolk and Dormer, Calitzdorp bought this animal for R53 500.
Lot 6 was the most expensive Suffolk ram. This ram was sold for R48 000 to Francois van Rooyen of Montagne Suffolks, Barkly East.
The average price of the 51 Dormer rams sold was R14 029, and the 63 Suffolk rams sold for an average of R11 246. The 250 Dormer ewes made an average of R3 176 and the 43 Suffolk ewes averaged R7 540.
The auction was presented by BKB Cradock, and the auctioneer was Jovaan Cloete.
