After years of neglect that led to the complete collapse of the once-thriving Zebediela Citrus Estate, renewed hope is finally on the horizon.

The Limpopo Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Land Reform, together with the Limpopo Economic Development Agency, are partnering with Wiphold (Women Investment Portfolio Holdings) and the Batladi Community Property Association (CPA) to revive and resuscitate the historic farm.
Once a flourishing citrus export powerhouse, the estate became a shadow of its former self after being handed over to new owners who had successfully claimed the property through the land restitution process. The years that followed were marked by decline, ultimately resulting in the farm’s collapse.
Now, through this collaborative effort, stakeholders aim to restore the estate to its former glory, bringing back jobs, stimulating the local economy and rekindling pride within the Zebediela community.
