Agra Namibia in Windhoek sold a Boerbok ram for R220 000 on 19 February at a production auction by Gert van Wyk and several guest sellers.

This ram comes from the Gert van Wyk Boerbok stud in Mariental. The buyer was Gerhardt de Meyer of Aukam Goats near Rosh Pinah.
Van Wyk also sold a Boerbok stud ram for R90 000. He told African Farming that he was extremely satisfied with the interest and the prices. About 450 people attended the auction.
Of the 83 Boerboks offered by him and the guest sellers, 82 were sold. Boerbok elite rams achieved a very high average price of R73 100, stud rams averaged R31 125, herd rams R28 846, stud ewes with lambs R17 333, elite ewes R23 000, herd ewes R16 000 and stud ewes R15 833.
Enkulu, a Meatmaster ram, was sold for R110 000. The seller was Joché Schoeman of Kameelhoek Meatmasters from Helmeringhausen, and the buyer was CJ Agenbach of Trigon Meatmasters, Mariental.
A Kalahari Red stud ram from Dirk and Dawid Louw of the Conradie stud at Helmeringhausen achieved R77 000.
Van Wyk also sold two Meatmaster ewes for R30 000 each. A Van Rooy elite ram changed hands for R30 000.

- Saanen ewes: R10 000
Sheep
All 68 sheep at the auction were sold. The average price was R15 603.
- Meatmasters: rams R23 000, ewes R10 231, ewes with lambs R7 500
- Van Rooy: elite rams R30 000, stud rams R16 333, herd rams R14 667
- Damaras: elite rams R10 000, stud rams R10 000, elite ewes R4 500, stud ewes R4 000, herd ewes R3 500
