GG Alcock – author and speaker
GG Alcock is a South African entrepreneur, author and speaker raised in a mud hut in Msinga, one of the most impoverished regions of KwaZulu-Natal. The son of anti-apartheid activists, he grew up immersed in traditional Zulu culture, an upbringing that shaped his resilience, entrepreneurial mindset and deep understanding of informal economies.
He is the author of Third World Child, White Born, Zulu Bred, Kasinomics and KasiNomic Revolution, which explore South Africa’s township and informal markets and the economic revolution taking place within them.
A sought-after speaker, GG shares insights on entrepreneurship, culture, diversity and route-to-market strategies in Africa’s mass and informal sectors.

African Farming Agri-Development Imbizo
The third African Farming Agri-Development Imbizo is designed to help turn that ambition into action.
Taking place on 26 and 27 March at Time Square Hotel in Pretoria, this two-day event will bring together more than 200 farmers, agribusiness entrepreneurs, policymakers, financiers and industry leaders. The goal is clear: To align resources, unlock opportunities and strengthen partnerships that will accelerate the growth of South Africa’s new generation of commercial farmers.
Hosted by African Farming, the Imbizo builds on a strong commitment to advancing black commercial agriculture through information-sharing, networking and development-driven platforms.
