Louw van Reenen – Beefmaster Group
Louw van Reenen is a South African agribusiness leader best known for his long-standing leadership role at Beefmaster Group, one of the country’s largest integrated beef production and processing businesses.
He joined the company in 1998 as a divisional manager and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2007. During his 16-year tenure as CEO, Van Reenen helped strengthen Beefmaster’s position across the beef value chain, from feedlots and abattoirs to processing, distribution and retail.
In October 2023, he stepped down as CEO and became Executive Chairman of the Beefmaster Group board, where he continues to guide the company’s strategic direction.
Van Reenen is recognised for his strategic outlook on the global meat industry, emphasising forward planning, vigilance and strong leadership teams to drive sustainable growth.
