The first Dormer production auction of the Bakgat seller group lived up to its name – “Bakgat”.
The group, which presented animals together for the first time, consisted of Johnny Forbes (Vredesig Dormers & Suffolk, Darling), Dirk Heyman (Heyman Dormers, Koffiefontein), Charles Church (Leeuwkop, Rouxville) and Juan du Randt (Mountain Shadows, Elliot).

The buyer was the company Alu Banze from Maclear. His most expensive ewe was sold for R8 500 to Gideon Mostert of Jaskraal Dormers in Bloemfontein. Du Randt sold, among others, nine rams, 10 stud ewes and 30 commercial ewes.
