According to Peter, the auction exceeded expectations and they are very pleased with the outcome.
The highest bid of R30 000 was achieved by Isak and Wikus van Zyl of Indwe.
The average price of the 60 rams was R11 483, while open ewes averaged R1 950 and pregnant ewes R2 500.
Andrew and Clinton Poole, who have supported the Cloete auctions for years, expressed their satisfaction with the breeding. “We already feel part of the Cloete family, and Peter and David go out of their way to make you feel at home.”
BKB Cradock hosted the auction on the Cloete farm in the Dordrecht district, with Brandon Leer as auctioneer.
