🌧️ A cold front slides over the southern Cape this Tuesday, bringing scattered showers to parts of the Western Cape.
⚠️This front quickly fizzles out, but a cut-off low is expected to develop from Wednesday, bringing very cold conditions, heavy rainfall and strong winds.

🟠Orange Level 8: Disruptive rain Leading to danger to life, widespread flooding and displacement of settlements as well as mudslides is expected in places along the coast and adjacent interior between Mossel Bay and Plettenberg Bay in the Western Cape.
🟠Orange Level 5: Disruptive rain leading to danger to life, flooding and displacements of settlements as well as mudslides is expected in places along the coast and adjacent interior between Plettenberg Bay and East London in the Western and Eastern Cape.
🟡Yellow Level 4: Disruptive rain leading to danger to life, flooding and displacements of settlements as well as mudslides is expected over the eastern parts of the Central Karoo and the western parts of the Garden Route Districts and the Swellendam Municipality.
🟡Yellow Level 2: Disruptive rain leading to localised flooding of settlements, roads, low lying areas and bridges is expected in places over the southern parts of the Eastern Cape.
🟡Yellow Level 2: Wind and waves leading to difficulty in navigation at sea as well as small vessels taking on water is expected between Cape Point and Plettenberg Bay.

Very cold, wet and windy conditions are expected over the central and eastern interior of the Western Cape, the southern parts of the Namakwa District of the Northern Cape as well as parts of the Eastern Cape from Wednesday to Thursday (03-04/06/2026).
