Here’s a summary of the weather forecast for 4 June by Vox Weather.
⚠️🌧️ Multiple reports of FLOODING are being received across the Southern Cape as a Cut-Off Low continues to impact South Africa.
🚨 More heavy showers are expected into Thursday as the “scorpion’s tail” of the Cut-Off Low brings another burst of rain to parts of the Garden Route, Langkloof region and Nelson Mandela Bay.
🥶🌬️ Icy winds and cold showers will continue spreading eastwards across central South Africa, reaching Gauteng with a significant drop in temperatures.
❄️ Snow is expected over the high-lying mountains of the Western and Eastern Cape, with heavier snowfall likely over Lesotho.
⚠️ Residents in affected areas should remain alert for localised flooding, poor driving conditions and rapidly changing weather.

🟠Orange Level 8: Disruptive rainfall leading to flooding of roads and bridges, danger to life due to fast moving streams and rivers, and causing major roads to be closed is expected over the eastern parts of the Garden Route District Municipality in the Western Cape as well as the South Coast of the Eastern Cape up to East London.
🟠Orange Level 5: Warning: Disruptive rainfall leading to danger to life, flooding and displacements of settlements as well as mudslides is expected between East London and Morgan Bay (south of the Wild Coast).
🟡Yellow Level 4: Disruptive rainfall leading to flooding of settlements, roads and bridges as well as susceptible areas is the eastern parts of Western Cape, excluding the extreme south-eastern parts.
🟡Yellow Level 2: Disruptive rainfall leading to localised flooding of roads and susceptible areas is expected over Theewaterskloof and Langeberg Local Municipalities in the Western Cape as well as the central and western interior of Eastern Cape and in places in the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.
🟡Yellow Level 2: Severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours leading to localised flooding of susceptible roads, settlements, low-lying bridges/areas, large amounts of small hail and excessive lightning.
🟡Yellow Level 2: Disruptive snow leading to icy roads resulting in traffic disruptions is expected over the northern high-lying areas in the Eastern Cape.
🟡Yellow Level 4: Wind and waves leading to difficulty in navigation at sea as well as small vessels taking on water is expected between Cape Point and Plettenberg Bay.
🟡Yellow Level 2: Damaging waves leading to small vessels at risk of taking on water and capsizing as well as difficulty in navigation is expected between Plettenberg Bay and East London

Very cold, wet, and windy conditions are expected over Eastern Cape, the central and eastern interior of the Western Cape, as well as the southern parts of the Namakwa District in the Northern Cape. Light snowfall is expected over the mountain tops of the central and eastern Western Cape and the higher-lying areas of the southern Namakwa District.
