Small farms, vineyards and tight spaces where bigger machines won’t fit – that’s what Mahindra’s new OJA compact tractor range was built for.

The OJA series compact tractors represent a premium, high-tech range specifically developed to function as efficient “mini TLBs” (tractor-loader-backhoes) when fitted with front-end loader and rear backhoe attachments, says Michele Cicognani, regional sales manager at Mahindra.
Launched at the Nampo Harvest Day 2026, the tractors are ideally suited for vineyards, orchards and smallholder farming operations. The Mahindra OJA series 4WD tractors are lightweight, robust and designed for multiple farming and maintenance applications.
The range includes the 2100 series platform, available in two primary configurations:
- Mahindra OJA 2123 – powered by a 23hp three-cylinder diesel engine, featuring a 4WD drivetrain and advanced hydrostatic (HST) transmission options.
- Mahindra OJA 2126 – fitted with a 26hp engine, offering an approximate 950kg rear lifting capacity and high-flow hydraulics for smooth handling of heavy loader and backhoe attachments.

Cicognani explained that while dedicated mini TLBs are available as standalone machines, such as the MCM 13X Mini TLB, the Mahindra OJA provides the added flexibility of a conventional tractor that can easily be converted into a functional TLB through implements that are quick and easy to attach.
“The front loader attachment features a fender-mounted joystick controller for seamless bucket operation. It is ideal for moving sand, compost and gravel,” said Cicognani.
He added that the rear backhoe attachment operates through the tractor’s three-point hitch and PTO system, using a quick four-point mounting frame. “This setup allows for trenching, digging foundations and laying irrigation pipes,” he explained.
