🌤️ The last month of WINTER is here, but it will feel more like SUMMER in some regions this weekend.
🥶 FROSTY mornings are expected across the Free State, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, the Highveld and surrounding areas.
☀️ Mostly DRY and COMFORTABLE conditions are expected, with only light showers possible along the East Coast, while the west remains WARM to HOT due to berg winds.
⚠️IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS issued by SAWS ⚠️
🟡 Yellow Level 2: Damaging coastal winds and waves leading to difficulty in navigation, localised disruption of small harbours and/or ports for a short period of time, and small vessels at risk of taking on water and capsizing in a locality are expected between KwaDukuza and Kosi Bay until Sunday (02/08/2026) afternoon.
🟡 Yellow Level 2: Damaging interior winds leading to localised damage to settlements are expected over the north-eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal until Sunday (02/08/2026).
