Here’s a summary of the weather forecast for 29 and 30 August by Vox Weather.
🌧️🌬️ A COLD FRONT will bring COLD, WET and WINDY weather to the Western Cape on SATURDAY, spreading into the Eastern Cape by the evening.
💨 Ahead of the front, VERY WINDY conditions are expected in places over the Cape interior.
☀️ Elsewhere, conditions will remain mostly DRY and COMFORTABLE TO WARM.
🌧️🌩️ On SUNDAY, COOLER weather and RAIN will spread across the Eastern Cape, with isolated THUNDERSTORMS also possible in KwaZulu-Natal.
☀️ The rest of the country will remain mostly DRY and WARM.
🌬️ Winds over the interior will ease somewhat, but STRONG WINDS are still possible at times along the EAST COAST.

🟡 Yellow Level 2: Damaging wind and waves resulting in localised disruption of small harbours and ports, difficulty in navigation and localised damage to infrastructure and settlements are expected along the coast between Port Shepstone and Richards Bay.
🟡 Yellow Level 2: Damaging interior winds leading to localised damage to settlements and localised problems for high-sided vehicles on prone routes due to cross winds on exposed high-level roads is expected over the central parts (upper and lower Karoo) and Namakwa interior of the Northern Cape.
🔥FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:🔥
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over central parts of Northern Cape, Khai-Ma, Hantam and Beaufort West municipalities of the Western Cape as well as Dr Beyers Naude LM, Blue Crane Route, Raymond Mhlaba, Amahlathi, Enoch Mgijima and Inxuba Yethemba Local municipalities of the Eastern Cape.
