A warm to hot day is expected across much of South Africa on Thursday, with maximum temperatures reaching 33°C in parts of Limpopo and the Northern Cape. Cooler conditions are expected along parts of the southern and eastern coastline, with Cape Town reaching around 23°C.
Rain and thunderstorms are possible across parts of the central and eastern interior, with the highest chance of rain, around 60%, over parts of KwaZulu-Natal. A 30% chance of rain and thunderstorms extends across parts of the northeast, while isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible over sections of the central interior. Light drizzle is also possible along parts of the West Coast.
