The Zambia Meteorological Department (ZMD) is predicting heavy rains and floods in the southern and western parts of Zambia.
The forecast comes as the 2 regions recover from a long dry-spell that has seen damage to crops.
“The pattern of heavy rainfall and floods is likely to persist into the coming week,” said ZMD Southern Province Officer Munalula Mate.
According to ZMD, most areas in Southern and Western provinces will receive up 35 mm of rain and experience flash floods, especially in catchment areas.
