Based on the popular Everest XLT, Ford has released their new Everest Sport with a range of feature enhancements to both the interior and exterior of the SUV.
The sport utility vehicle (SUV) market is highly competitive and Ford South Africa has just upped their game with the new Everest Sport.
Sporty look
The brand new Everest SUV has been given a sportier, more athletic look. Ford has blacked out the side mirror caps, door handles, front bumper and rear valance to complement the bold black mesh radiator grille and striking 20-inch black alloy wheels. A unique Everest badge can be found on the bonnet and ‘sport’ decals have been applied to the rear doors.
Six colours options are available to customers: Diffused Silver, Frozen White, Agate Black, Moondust Silver, Sea Grey and Copper Red.
Step inside the cabin and discover that the interior, much like the exterior of the Everest Sport SUV, offers a more athletic look compared to the other derivatives. Ford ticked all the boxes of luxury, refinement, spacing and practicality.
Embossed leather seats with blue stitching and a soft-touch leather dashboard enhances the sporty status of the SUV from the inside.

Safety first
Ford included their standard safety package to the sporty SUV which consists of an Electronic Stability Programme with traction control, Hill Launch Assist and Roll Over Mitigation and seven airbags. The high-tech Passive Entry and Passive Start (PEPS) feature can also be found in the Everest – this is a key entry and passive start system that allows the driver to unlock and start the vehicle without removing the key from their pocket.
Under the hood
In terms of the engine, the Everest Sport bolsters Ford’s 2.0-litre single turbo diesel engine, delivering 132kW and 420Nm of power. It is coupled with Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission.
